The date for the rematch between David Haye and Tony Bellew has been set for December 17, according to reports.

The fight would hold at the O2 Arena in London as both fighters fight for pride. The pre-fight build up the first time was fiery and intense. However, WBC cruiserweight champ Bellew stopped Haye in the 11th round in March 2017.

Haye was injured in his Achilles in the sixth round before he lost the bout – the third loss of his entire career. He revealed that he never expected as much from Bellew, who was fighting for the first time at heavyweight.

The Hayemaker has his career on the line with the rematch as another loss to Bellew threatens his legacy in pro boxing. Bellew has promised to “end Haye’s career.”

“Another loss to me closes the curtain on the Hayemaker. I will have the exact same attitude I had going into the first fight – win at all costs.”

Cotto To Face Yormark Soon

Miguel Cotto is waiting by the ring side as a fight with Yoshihiro has been announced to him that would take place on June 24th.

Michael Yormark, who presides over Roc Nation Sports, stated that the company was preparing for the fight, which would showcase a return for Miguel Cotto. Cotto would come back in the ring to take on Yoshihiro on June 24th who would be his opponent as planned till date. There are talks on between HBO and Peter Nelson.

Cotto was not found in the fighting ring since his last appearance in 2015. At that time he fought Canelo Alvarez against whom he lost in a decision. After that there had been a fight lined up between him and James Kirkland. The latter, however, pulled out of the fight at a press conference where he cited an injury that he had sustained in a training camp. This nixed Cotto’s plans at the beginning of the year. The upcoming fight needs to be confirmed which Kamegai needs to do.

Former four division world champion Miguel Cotto (40-5, 33 KOs) will continuously grow his role as a promoter, but just like any good entrepreneur he requires the right people at his side.

For this reason, Cotto acknowledged the contribution of his closest advisers, Hector Soto and Bryan Perez, who are managing Cotto’s company while the boxer continues to a professional career as a fighter.

For the first time since he lost a decision to Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez last November in Las Vegas, Cotto is going to enter the ring on February 25th against junior middleweight challenger James Kirkland in Texas.

Cotto admits that 2017 may be his last year in the game. As soon as his active career is done, he is planning to take a more active role with promoting a show in Puerto Rico.

In recent times Cotto’s company is staging more shows compared to about anyone else in the country.
