World Boxing Association or WBA Light Middleweight Champion Miguel Cotto has said the likelihood of him facing Manny Pacquiao, World Boxing Organization Welterweight Champion is far lesser compared to the chances of him facing ‘Pretty Boy’ Floyd Mayweather Jr., the World Boxing Council or the WBC Welterweight Champion, only due to weight issues. Cotto, who has been a world champion as many as four times in three different weight classes added that he will not fight with anyone who is below 150 pounds. According to the Puerto Rican ace, Mayweather has no problems in bulking up to 154 pounds in order to fight him where as he was told by Manny Pacquiao that he needed to come down to anywhere between 145 and 147 pounds to fight him.

Pacquiao is only one of two men who have managed to defeat the fighter from Puerto Rico, who has a record of 37-2, with a staggering 30 knockout wins in a 145 pound bout with the Philippine way back in 2009 and the world was looking forward to Miguel Cotto taking revenge against Manny. But it seems that Manny’s demands are just about too much for Cotto, who will not lose weight to fight the legendary Asian.

However, Cotto slammed Pacquiao and his decision to go to 150 to fight with Margarito and added that if he had no problem in going to 150 pounds for that match, then there should be no problems for him to go up again. Cotto also added that the main reason why Manny is avoiding him is because he is afraid of him because he knows that his win against Miguel Cotto in 2009 was a fluke, something which he can never achieve again. Be it fear or pride, many Pacquiao seems unmoved by Cotto, though.
